All of our kittens are raised in a family environment. They assist us in doing research on feline health. (above) And they help us with monitoring their stats. (right)

We try to provide plenty of entertainment for the kittens, and adults as well. The kittens have a floor to ceiling cat tower to race up and down. (left) The adulds do a pretty good job of entertaining themselves- say by stealing an entire tub of catnip, Cat Party! (below)

Our dog Jake helps us with the kittens, he gets the babies used to dogs and grooms them occasionally. He also helps with the clean-up by making sure all the dishes are licked clean after everyone is done eating. (below)

My daughter Crystal (left) and her friend Monica (below & left) work hard helping with cat wrangling. They have both learned how to hold kittens for meds, nail trimmings and pictures. They have also learned how to give kittens baths, and how to hand feed little babies. They also assist in the birthing of new litters.
It's a tough job, but they love it!

Stephen, Missy & Caleb are a huge help with the cats and kittens. They come over several times a week to play with the kittens. They are also my amateur photographers. When they come over I turn them loose with my digital camera. Most of the candid shots on the website were taken by the kids.
They are also our cat-sitters when we go out of town. They are very responsible, and are able to follow detailed instructions that I leave. When we have kittens at home they may have to make 4-5 visits a day. They are even willing to do the dirty work like cleaning litter boxes!

Last year the kids all helped to build an outdoor enclosure for the cats and older kittens to play in. I cut the wood, and the kids did a lot of the work putting together the frame work and attaching the wire-mesh to the boards.
The cats love being able to to spend time outside. It gives them a chance to really run and play, chase bugs, roll in the dirt, and just sunbathe!

This is a picture of our Serengetis at our first cat show. Crystal made our show curtains, and she is thinking about designing curtains to sell.
